With the hardness of 7 in the Mohs scale, Citrine is generally available in pale yellow to orange color which is comparatively lighter than the heat treatment materials which are comparatively dark orange brown to reddish brown. The difference between the heat treated materials has a red tint whereas the natural gemstones don’t have any.
