The skin oils, the body lotions can come in contact with diamonds and affect their brilliance, so they must be cleaned regularly. Regularly wipe your jewelry with a soft cotton cloth after use.

Every three months wash your Black Diamond jewelry. Soak the jewelry in a mixture of luke warm water and mild soap for 30 minutes. Thereafter, using a very soft brush swish off the settled dirt. Run under running water and clean dry with a soft cloth.

This may mar the brilliance permanently affecting the color as well.
Keep away from Chlorine Bleach!
The chlorine bleach can damage the metal of your black diamond jewelry so remove your jewelry while going for a swim.
The prongs can be pitted or loosen the grip over your diamond due to the harsh chemicals. While applying bleach or hair-dye remove your jewelry. Wear gloves whenever you feel the substance you are going to dip your hand in has chemicals in its composition.
 Never place your ring on the lip of a sink!
When you remove it to wash your hands there is every possibility of your jewelry can easily slip down the drain.

Don’t jumble up your jewelry pieces!

Black Diamonds can get chipped or abrade through normal wear and tear. They shouldn’t come in contact with other diamonds, for the reason that if they rub against each other they might corrode. So place them separately in the soft pouch to avoid any damage
