The name of Topaz in Mineralogical science is Topaz Rhombicus and like the gemstone Opal it belongs the order Hyalina. With the crystallography of right Rhombic prism it has the cleavage which is parallel to its basal plane. If dropped , it may easily give a crack because of its imperfect structure.
