Morganite is sometimes given the heat treatment to change the soft peachy color to the beautiful pinkish hue. It is also irradiated to retain the former color. In order to maintain the gemstones it can be polished with alumina or cerium oxide. It is said Morganite is the easiest gemstone to give facet.
